HGS Master Technician David Beasley spoke at a forum on “Underground Safety Focus – Locate Quality” at the Common Ground Alliance 811 Excavation Safety Conference in March in Las Vegas. This conference is the largest educational event in the utility damage prevention community. The conference was attended by David Beasley and General Manager Paul Vierling. HGS management attend conferences regularly to remain current with industry best practices and new technology in the Subsurface Utility Engineering profession. Such best practices and newest technology contribute to workforce and public safety.
In furtherance of our maxim “Our Knowledge – Your Benefit”, Hawaii Geophysical Services has proudly joined the following professional organizations: American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Utility Engineering and Surveying Institute (UESI) and the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE). Shared information with these organizations will further HGS in its goal of providing knowledge-based services and solutions to the public in Hawaii and along the Pacific Rim.
Hawaii Geophysical Services exhibited at the 2015 Pacific Building Trade Expo to share information with architects, engineers and related building trade professionals.
The International Market Place renovation project is going to be an impactful upgrade to the Waikiki area. Hawaii Geophysical Services LLC was asked to use their air vacuum excavation system to locate/expose the water lateral system along both Kuhio and Kalakaua Avenues so that it can be enhanced to meet the future needs of this beautiful new complex.
